About the Fellowship

In addition to its association with The English Concert, TECA has forged a partnership with The Juilliard School’s Department of Historical Performance, whose students specialize in music from the late 16th to the early 19th centuries on period instruments. A select few are awarded a TECA Fellowship, which provides them with access to esteemed artists in their field and educational and concert opportunities for professional growth. Fellows receive a monetary award upon their acceptance and the chance to learn from, record, and perform alongside TEC players.

“TECA provides an infrastructure for my colleagues and me to reach audiences we wouldn’t normally get to play for in places we don’t usually get to perform.”
-David Dickey, 2016 TECA Fellow
“I enjoy the incredible and palpable support from an organization that cares deeply about its Fellows. It’s given me the courage and freedom to delve deeply into my craft as I can. I also enjoy opportunities to perform with and learn from some of the greatest musicians in our field – the members of The English Concert.”
Kyle Miller, 2015 TECA Fellow
“It is an honor to be a part of the TECA family. TECA’s presence has gone beyond musical purposes, offering thoughtful support in difficult times, which is something for which I am very thankful.”
